Debit only United States and Canada

Debit that dispensaries can actually accept.

Bank Dispensary helps dispensaries in the United States and Canada take debit. At the counter, and online where that actually works. Credit cards aren't part of this.

The problem

Why debit for cannabis retail is still hard.

A dispensary can be allowed to operate where it is and still be turned away by ordinary card programs. That happens in the United States and in Canada. Credit acceptance is the fragile part. Cash-only is the usual fallback, and it costs the business every day. Debit is a separate setup, not a nickname for cards.

If it only works by calling debit a credit card, it's not what we do.

  • Credit is the wrong product

Credit-card programs are a poor fit for cannabis retail, and approvals often get pulled. Building the counter on that is how a day's sales get stranded. We don't set up credit cards.

  • Cash-only has a daily cost

No electronic tender means more cash on site, slower reconciliation, and customers who expected to pay with a card.

  • Debit needs its own setup

Debit at the counter, and debit for online orders, aren't a switch on a regular merchant account. The counter, the sales channel, and the paperwork all have to be looked at on purpose.

What you get

A debit-only setup, walked through with you.

We help you sort out debit at the counter, and online if that fits your shop, then walk the onboarding with you. Same conversation in the United States and in Canada.

  1. 01

    Debit at the counter

In-store debit, so customers are not limited to cash. Before anything is submitted, we walk through what the counter setup involves for your store.

  2. 02

    Online, where it applies

Some shops can take debit on online orders. Some can't, with the setup they use today. We'll tell you straight if it isn't a fit, instead of hinting at a checkout you won't get.

  3. 03

    Onboarding, with you

Applications ask for documents. We help you prepare what is needed and keep the steps in order. You stay the operator. We guide the setup.

Where we work

United States and Canada, on the same terms.

Any dispensary in either country can ask for a conversation. Same offer, whoever owns the shop.

Same offer

United States

Debit-only processing for dispensaries operating in the United States. Same consultation. Same next step.

Same offer

Canada

Debit-only processing for dispensaries operating in Canada. Same consultation. Same next step.

We don't keep a public list of states or provinces. A conversation is how we see whether debit fits your store. Asking isn't a yes.

FAQ

Straight answers.

Debit only, for dispensaries in the United States and Canada.

Request a consultation

Is this credit-card processing?

No. This is debit only. We won't dress it up as credit cards.

Are you a bank?

We help with debit processing and setup, not a retail bank.

Who is it for?

Any dispensary in the United States or Canada that wants to talk about taking debit. Same note in both countries. You don't need a particular kind of ownership to write in.

Can we take debit online?

Sometimes. It depends on how you take orders and what the debit setup can actually do. If online isn't a fit, we'll say so.

What happens when I request a consultation?

The form opens an email to david@bankdispensary.com with what you typed. Nothing is kept on this website. You send it from your own email app. A reply is a conversation, not a yes.

Why are fees and partner names not listed?

We don't post rates or partner names on this site. If we work together, you'll see the details before you agree to anything.

Want to add a bit more?
